Why a Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training?

Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training | 20 hours of CE credits with Yoga Alliance

As a teacher, maybe you’ve had the experience of having a pregnant person take your class. You may have wondered how you can best serve them and what was even safe to offer them. As yoga teachers, we have to be mindful of the specific needs of each of our students whether we’re teaching to the most advanced asana practitioners or the ones who are just starting out. Whether we know it or not, we often lose students because of our inability to offer adequate support during pregnancy and postpartum. There are many benefits to maintaining or even starting a yoga practice during pregnancy and because of this, many pregnant people turn to yoga during this special time. This course will give you the tools and the confidence to be able to teach yoga to pregnant people in a safe and supportive way. You will learn to lead a prental yoga class as well as serve pregnant people who participate in your regular, non-prenatal yoga classes.

This training is a Certified Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) which means that you can add these hours towards your Teacher Training with Yoga Alliance. It is suitable for everyone, both existing yoga teachers and students aspiring to become yoga teachers. This Prenatal Yoga Intensive will give you 20 hours of credits with Yoga Alliance.

Join us in this 3 day Prenatal Yoga TT complete with Prenatal Yoga classes, anatomy/physiology of the pregnant body, how to support and hold space for pregnant people, how to sequence a Prenatal Yoga class, and how to safely modify common yoga poses during pregnancy and why.

*Students will be provided with Yoga Alliance continuing education certificates with course name, total hours, and PYC’s YACEP provider information.
